Injured Boy May Lose Eye
GV.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Nov. 18. A 14-year-old Panmure boy may lose the sight of an eye as the result of an explosion of an industrial cartridge he and his friends were playing with yesterday. The injured boy is Keith Rackham. The cartridge was probably found at the workplace of the father of one of the boy’s companions. The boys were trying to “set it off” by pounding it with a lump of concrete in their fort. The explosion drove some kind of fragments into Keith’s left eye.
