Record Cargo Discharge
(N.Z. Press Association) TAURANGA, Nov. 18. A New Zealand record for the discharge of cargo in one day using the ship’s gear is believed to have been set at the Mount Maunganui wharf on Tuesday by the Norwegian bulk carrier, Novbega. Captain S. Holford. representative of the British Phosphate Commission, said the Novbega discharged 4113 tons of bulk phosphate rock yesterday working her seven holds between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. with the usual meal breaks.
