Billy Graham May Return
The American evangelist, Billy Graham, might visit New Zealand, the National Council of Churches announced on Tuesday. A letter from the Billy Graham Evangelistic Organisation to the N.C.C. said that the possibility of a return visit by Mr Graham to New Zealand would be discussed early in December in Atlanta, Georgia. The letter announced the formation of a “team office” in Atlanta, which will be the headquarters for the organisation’s associate evangelists and preparatory teams. The organisation would be, according to the letter, in “a better position to handle and follow through invitations from around the world. In spite of the fact that there has been a serious lack of communication, we are concerned with you for the work in New Zealand and the possibility of a return visit by Billy Graham.” The matter would be discussed in detail when the evangelistic team meets in early December.
