Anonymous Gift To School
The Aranui High School has been given £lOO to further Asian studies, it was reported to a meeting of the school board of governors. “It is a munificent and magnificent gesture,” the headmaster (Mr W. J. A. Brittenden) said, explaining that the money had been given by a member of the board who wished to remain anonymous.
The money would be used to buy books for a special Asian studies section in the Public Library, Mr Brittenden said.
