LIVES IN A KENNEL
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) LONDON, Nov. 16.
A pedigree dog breeder, Miss Margaret Batchelor, lives in a kennel—to keep her dogs quiet at night, the “Daily Mirror” reported. Complaints about the barking of her champion west Highland terriers have already forced her to move home twice.
Then she converted two hen-houses into kennels in a farmers’ field near Coupar, Angus. The tenant of the only house near her complained about the noise of barking at night Yesterday middle-aged Miss Batchelor said: “I did not want to move again or give up my dogs. So I partitioned off part of the kennels for myself. This is the only thing I can do until I find a suitable property I can buy.”
