CHARGE OF MURDER
Court Orders Extradition An order that Keith Robert Bruce, aged 26, be delivered into the custody of DetectiveSergeant M. G. Chalmers, of the Queensland police, and that he be conveyed to Queensland was made by Mr E. S. J. Crutchley, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday. Bruce appeared before the Court last Tuesday on a charge of murdering Jan Zverka at Gilbert river, near Normanton, Queensland, on or about May 11. Yesterday Senior-Sergeant G. M. Cleary made formal application that Bruce be taken to Queensland under the Fugitive Offenders Proceedings Act. Evidence was given by the arresting officer in Christchurch. Detective-Sergeant R. A. Meikle, and also by Detective Sergeant Chalmers.
