Rothmans Plans Premium Issue

(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, November 6. Rothmans Tobacco Company, Ltd., Napier, is making a placement through members of the Stock Exchange, of 729,891 ordinary 5s shares at a premium of 20s a share.

As well, 75,000 shares have been reserved on' the same terms for application by cigarette retailers. The placement, which will raise £1,006,113, has been Underwritten by the Auckland Stock Exchange. Present paid capital of Rothmans is £781,747, including £12,056 in redeemable preference shares. Rothmans shares were granted official listing by the Stock Exchange Association of New Zealand today.
