Half-Inch Separates Two Under-17 Long Jumpers

An Interesting tussle between J. F. Watts (19ft lOin) and Wayne Green (19ft 9}ln) in the under 17 boys’ long jump was the highlight of the first meeting held by the Christ church Technical College Athletic Club. Both competitors came close to the Canterbury record of 20ft. Green, a schoolboy Rugby League Kiwi and a new member of the club, also returned B.2sec for 75 yards, while his brother.
