Sir, —The Vice-Chancellor’s quotation from the university calendar is in no sense an answer to “Student’s” restrained but thoroughly wellfounded criticism of the university examination system. The letter of the law may be there, but the letter killeth; it is the spirit that giveth life.—Yours, etc., HONOURS GRADUATE. November 5, 1964.
