Gymnastic Coach Sought By N.Z.

he would come from one of the Scandinavian countries, central Europe or the United States. The coach would have two main duties. The first would be to visit centres throughout the country to assist the promising youngsters, and the second would be to give more advanced coaching to members of the national training squad. This will be reformed shortly, and the main mission of the members will be to work up to a sufficiently high standard to be considered for a trip to the world championships in West Germany in 1966. Mr Larkin said that his association still hoped to secure further visits from overseas gymnasts following the successful tour by the Japanese last year. Japanese are again being considered, while a letter has also been sent to the Russians, but there has been no reply.
