JOCKEY INJURED AT AINTREE
(N.Z. P.A.-Reul erl LIVERPOOL (England), November 2. D. Smith, the former champion jockey, is making good progress in hospital here after bis fall in a race at Aintree on the last day of the flat racing season on Saturday. Smith, aged 46, was admitted to hospital with a suspected fracture of the skull. His condition is satisfactory.
