(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Nov. 2. At its first annual meeting lhq Association of Child Care TCentres decided that the Government be asked to amend the child welfare j-egulations to permit more children to each qualified -‘and experienced supervisor. Another remit carried asked that there be a Government training scheme made nationally available to all organisations and persons assisting in the care of preschool children. Present courses available did not fulfil the needs of the different categories of child care centres. Among remits referred back to the association was one expressing concern at the lack; of facilities available between: the hours of 3 p.m. and 5’ p.m. for school children of working parents.
