TRANSPORT MUSEUM
Proposal In Britain (Special Crspdt. N.Z P.A) LONDON, November 2. The Transport Trust in Britain is planning a national museum in which it hopes to preserve old locomotives, veteran cars, traction engines, and even complete railways and branch lines. It hopes to operate in much the same way as the National Trust which preserves old houses and beautiful parts of the countryside. The idea of a Transport Trust and museum has attracted a good response from industry and from individuals to whom a plea for support has been sent but no attempt at fund-raising will be made until a site for the museum has been found.
