(N.Z. Press Association) HAMILTON. Nov. 1. If New Zealand dairy farmers see a future for dual purpose cattle, they will have to consider moving away from dairy cows, said Mr J. L. McGrath, agricultural adviser to the British High Commissioner in New Zealand, at the Royal Agricultural Show in Hamilton. Mr McGrath, official visitor to the show, said'that Jersey cows are not suitable for milk and beef production. Friesians produce a lot more water with the butterfat, but farmers could cover the loss by the extra beef production, he said.
