Stole Cheque Forms
(N.Z. Press Association) PALMERSTON N, Nov. 2. John Francis McAvinue, aged 31, was today sentenced on a charge of theft of cheque forms from the Roman Catholic presbytery at Waipawa, and on four charges of issuing valueless cheques, by Mr D. G. Sinclair, S.M. On each of the five charges heard last week. McAvinue was fined £lO and placed on probation for two years. He was ordered to make restitution.
