The Woolston Brass Band Auxiliary solo competitions were judged by Mr M. Waters. The results were:— Learners’ Class.—R. Young, 54 points, 1; R. Lowe, 53, 2; B. Fearnley, 52, 3. C Grade (slow melody).—M. Langley, 59 points, 1; G. Wislang, 57, 2; H. Bath, 56, 3. B Grade (air varie). —C. Boyce, 79 points, 1; M. Bain, 76, 2; Miss J. Strong, 75, 3. A Grade (air varie). —J. Dougall, 86 points, 1; C. Boyce, 78, 2; R. Dougall, 77, 3. Band Championship (most points in any grade).—J. Dougall.
