Starjohn Wins Cup At Hutt Park

(New Zaoland Press Association) SVFTJ.TNC.TON. November 1. Starjohn led throughout the two miles of the Masterton Cup to beat the favourite, Johnny Supreme, at the Masterton Trotting Club’s annual meeting at Hutt Park on Saturday night.

B. G. Nyhan, who drove Johnny Supreme, was fined £2O for careless driving. The stewards found that Nyhan, who was travelling one out, had cheeked his horse quickly to take an opening on the rails, which caused Sparkling Brew to check and go back on sVee Herb and Golden Serf* . The second leg of the double, the Stewards* Handicap, was won by the favourite, Evening Twilight, which waa one of three winners from C. S. Donald's Belfast stable.
