Rural Deanery Festival
The Mothers’ Union in North Canterbury celebrated its rural deanery festival at Oxford recently. About 120 members attended, representing the parishes of Waikari, Amberley, Woodend, Sefton, Kaiapoi, Rangiora, Cast, and Oxford. A service of Holy Communion opened the programme, the celebrant being the Rev. M. I. May, assisted by the Rev. P. N. Wright, who also preached the sermon. Mothers’ Union Office was conducted by Mr May.
