FINAL TRIAL
Four From Canterbury Four Canterbury competitors —A. Lee (South Brighton), G. Dann (New Brighton), D. Dalton (North Beach) and A. Harrow (Taylor’s Mistake)—have been chosen to take part in the final national trial, to be held at Wellington on November 14 and 15The New Zealand surf team to tour Australia in December and January will be announced on the last day of the final trial in Wellington. Wellington has by far the greatest representation in the final trial with seven competitors. Auckland has four and Gisborne three. Competitors for the final trial are:— B. Crowder, N. Penwarden, M. Harvey, M. Haxton, C. Blakely, C. Billing, D. Henderson (Wellington), A. Lee, G. Dann, D. Dalton, A. Harrow (Canterbury), R. Harker, M. Bray, J. Jenkins, G. Allnutt (Auckland), R. Turnbull, G. Sutton, T. Byrne (Gisborne). Allnutt, Sutton, Byrne, Henderson and Harrow are juniors.
