Trainee Astronaut Killed In Crash

(N2. Press Association —Copyright) HOUSTON, November 1. An American astronaut, Theodore C. Freeman, a quiet man who wanted to go to the moon, was killed yesterday when he fell or ejected from his crashing jet airplane.

The 34-year-old Air Force captain was the first of America’s 30 astronauts to meet death in the space programme. He was married, with adaughter aged 10.
