Sir,—Mr Lamb wonders why the city isn’t beautiful with more fountains. What of the ones we own? The Peacock fountain is stored, too corroded for present use. Does this mean it will never be used? The High street fountain stands dry; the basin leaks. There are many, many engineers employed by the council.
