Three Injured In Collision

When a car and a truck collided .in Worcester street about JI p.m. on Saturday three persons were injured. Charles Douglas Garty, of 23 Evelyn Couzins avenue, was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital with leg injuries. David Colin Lilly, of 148 Rutland street, suffered head injuries, and Peter Yeatman, of 129 Elizabeth street, suffered leg injuries. Both were treated at the Christchurch Hospital.

Joseph Griffiths, of 271 Weston road, when two cars collided at the corner of Cranford and Westminster streets about 3 a.m. yesterday. Mr Griffiths was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital. Fall in Shingle.—When a motor-scooter skidded in shingle in Allard street, the rider, Anthony Pearson, of 138 North parade, fell and suffered head injuries. The accident occurred about 11.20 p.m. on Saturday. Mr Pearson was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital.

Two Injured.—John Patrick, of 369 Worcester street, suffered chest injuries, and Miss Micke Vanderley, of 65 Petrie street suffered head and leg injuries when two cars collided at the corner of Madras and Salisbury streets early on Saturday afternoon. Both were treated at the Christchurch Hospital.

Rar. Into Window.—After a motor-cycle and car collided at the corner of Riccarton road and Auburn avenue, Upper Riccarton, about 4.40 p.m. on Saturday the motorcycle ran into the plate-glass window of Hammond’s fruit shop at 355 Riccarton road. The motor-cyclist, Brian Nutsford, of 6 Keri place, Hei Hei, was treated at the Christchurch Hospital for arm and leg injuries. • Car Overturns.—Head injuries were suffered by Olive Saunders, of 6 Walsall street, Riccarton, when a car overturned on the Main North road at Motunau yesterday afternoon. She was treated at the Christchurch Hospital. Hit Parked Car.—A car driven by Harry Michael Benson, of 582 Colombo street, hit a parked car in Riccarton road about 100 yards west of the roundabout at 3 p.m. on Saturday. Both cars were badly damaged. Mr Benson was treated for a facial injury. Car Rolls Over.—When a car rolled over a stopbank of the Waimakariri river on Saturday evening Rachael Bertie, of 31 Halberg street, Dallington, suffered leg injuries. She was treated at the Christchurch Hospital. Cars Collide.—Kathleen Underwood. of 38 Arawa street, Shirley, suffered head injuries when two cars collided at the corner of Ferry and Wilsons roads about 1.15 a.m. yesterday. She was treated at the Christchurch Hospital. Head Injuries.—Geoffrey Crawford, of 36 Wairarapa terrace, suffered head injuries when a car and a truck collided in Wairarapa terrace about 11.30 p.m. on Saturday. He was treated at the Christchurch Hospital.
