The type of appointee required is a person of good personality, with some knowledge of New Zealand’s trade and industry, who has completed a university degree or professional qualification, aged between 24 and 30 years, and who has had a few’ years’ experience in a sphere connected with trade. While this latter experience is desirable, applicants who have only recently completed a degree will also be considered. Those selected for these positions will be appointed to the staff of the Department at commencing salaries up to £1335 p.a. according to age, qualifications and experience.
