Six Months’ Gaol
“It seems to me that a great deal of your trouble is due to the fact that you are addicted to drink,” said Mr Justice Wilson in the Supreme Court yesterday, I sentencing John Gregg Miller, aged 23 (Mr M. F. Hobbs), to six months’ imprisonment for breaking and entering the premises of Frank A. Cook, Ltd., on June 9. Miller had pleaded guilty. His Honour also sentenced him to 12 months’ probation after his prison term, a special condition being that he refrain from consuming alcohol during that time. His Honour said the offence was the third of its kind, and Miller’s sixth involving dishonesty. “
