Less Wool Sent In First Quarter
Wool entered for export from New Zealand in the quarter to September 30 was only 219,706 ba1e5—76,692 bales or 25.9 per cent less than was sent in the same period last year.
Less wool has been sent to the United States, 61,150 bales ,84,304 bales last year); United Kingdom, 47,431 (73,391) and European Economic Community countries, 60,028 (79,233). Exports during September were 58,065 bales but this was 23,928 bales less than was
exported in September, 1963. Details of wool entered for export in the three months to September 30 with the percentage share of the total shipped to each of the main destinations, are as follows:
