GREYMOUTH. Oct 21. Atrocious condition* prevailed for the opening night of the Greymouth Trotting Club's spring meeting on the Victoria Park Raceway tonight. The winning double combination. Hurry On and Seafield Scott, paid £3O 8s for fl. On-course the totalisator handled £10,288 10s, including £1627 on the double, compared with £28,852 on the corresponding night last year. The latter, which is trained on the track put in, a strong challenge from fourth position on the home turn. Fury River held on for third ahead of the hot: favourite Bruce. Golden j Sari, a well-backed candidate,! failed to go away. Second Leg The favourite. Seafield Scott, was handily positioned all the way in the Raceway, Handicap. He was in front with a mile to run, then was steadied to take the trail behind Megaton. Seafield Scott had the measure of Megaton outside 1 the furlong ar 1 he came away to win by a length and a half. The fasbfinishing I Night Boy was second, a length and a half clear of Our Kay.
