Southland Aid In Drought
(N.Z. Prest Association) INVERCARGILL, Ort. 21. Southland farmers are assisting drought-stricken farmers by grazing sheep and cattle sent from North Otago and parts of Canterbury and by sending hay and swedes to the drought areas. About 5000 sheep from North Otago have been sent to Southland so far for grazing and this week 40 tons of swedes and 4000 bales of hay were sent to North Otago from Southland.
