City Roading Contracts
The City Council last evening accepted a tender of £14,712 by British Pavements Ltd., for the road tunnel motorway-Dyers road link. The tender, the lower of two received, gave April 30 as the completion date. The same contractors were awarded a contract of £16,766 for reconstruction of Opawa road.
The council accepted a tender by M. C. Burke of £11,777, the lowest of three, for Mathers and Tankerville road reconstruction: and let a contract of £2251 to Jeffrey Brothers for kerbing and channelling in Linwood avenue and furgood street
