Mr Allen Curnow Awarded Dr. Lit.
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, October 19. Mr Allen Curnow, senior lecturer in English at Auckland University, has been awarded the degree of doctor of literature. The degree, the first of its kind to be awarded by the university, was conferred today by the Chancellor, Sir Douglas Robb. Mr Curnow was awarded the degree for his contributions to literary knowledge.
