ROYAL DUTY OUT FOR CUP
(N.Z. Press Association) MELBOURNE, Oct 18. The New Zealand horse, Royal Duty, will be scratched tomorrow from all future spring engagements including the Melbourne Cup, for wliich he had been one of the early favourites. His trainer, S. McGreal, said that Royal Duty, which has been having heel trouble, cracked his other heel during the running of Saturday’s Caulfield Cup. Arrangements now will-.be made to fly Royal Duty to Sydney and then send him back to New Zealand by ship where he will be spelled.
