E. Bullen is Head, active research being undertaken mainly in the fields of seismology. geomagnetism, elasticity, radiative transfer. reactor theory and hydrodynamics. Applications will be welcomed from candidates with research interests in any field of applied mathematics. Although a teaching appointment. excellent opportunities will be provided for research. Salary for a Senior Lecturer is within the range £2745 x £100—£3,245 per annum; for a Lecturer within the range £1895 X £105—£2630 per annum: plus cost of living adjustments (at present £42 p.a.). Academic salaries in Australia are currently under review.
