Long Jump To Davies
TOKYO. October 18. The young Welsh athlete, Lynn Davies, caused another big upset today at the National Stadium by winning the long jump gold medal. With a leap of 26ft sjin, he defeated the two overwhelm ing favourites, Ralph Borton (United States) and Igor TerOvanesysan (Russia). Boston is the Olympic record-holder and Rome champion and Ter-Ovaneysan is the former world recordholder.
