“Too Fast" Says Coach
“Too fast,” was the comment made by Mr V. Briedis, the coach of Miss Marise Chamberlain, after her time of 2min 6.Bsec in the 800 metres heats yesterday. Miss Chamberlain’s time was the second fastest of all the qualifiers, the next being 2min Ssec. However, Mr Briedis qualified his “too fast” remark by saying that Miss Chamberlain had to “go” with the winner of the heat, M. Dupnreur (France), who had a time of 2:4.5.
