No Vote For Tourists

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Oct. 12. Migrants and tourists from Britain in New Zealand do not get a vote in the British general election on Thursday, an information officer of the British High Commission explained today in response to an inquiry. He said those on the electoral roll whose professions or service took them out of Britain at election time could apply for p-oxy votes. The applications had to reach the electoral officer 12 working days before election day. Wives qualified on a similar basis, he said. The High Commissioner had received I a number of inquiries, he' said.
