Allen Cup To M. Scott (N.Z. Press Association) BLENHEIM, October 4. The lighter weights were faster and more-interesting than the heavier weight bouts at the finals of the New Zealand amateur wrestling championships, held at Blenheim on Saturday night. The H. M. Allen Cup for the most scientific wrestler went to the feather-weight champion. M. Scott (Wairarapa). The trophy for the province winning the most gold medals was won by Central Districts, with three gold medals and one silver. The final positions, champions named first, were: Fly-weight: J. Mudgway (Central Districts), G. Hansen (Auckland). Bantam-weight: D. Mudgway (Central Districts), D. Stannett (Waikato). Feather-weight: M. Scott (Wairarapa), I. B. Roberts (Canterbury). Light-weight: D. Whitta (Wellington), K. Scott (Wairarapa). Welter-weight: D. Halford (Central Districts), R. Jointer (Wellington). Middle weight: A. Butts (Wellington), .1. Downey (Waikato). Light heavy-weight: J. Eidler (Waikato), J. Harris (Wellington). Heavy-weight- J. Woosterman (Waikato). T. Milat (Auckland).
