UNIVERSITY VACANCIES THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW SOUTH WALES invites applications for appointment to the position of LECTURER IN ENGLISH WOLLONGONG UNIVERSITY COLLEGE (An Associated College of the University of New South Wales) Salary: £A1936 range £A2636 per annum. These salaries are under review. Commencing salary will be according to qualifications and experience. Applicants must hold an appropriate honours degree or have equivalent qualifications. In addition to giving lectures within the Faculty of Arts, the successful applicant may be invited to take part in humanities instruction in other faculties which is a traditional part of this University’s curriculum. The first year of courses leading to the degree of Bachelor of Arts of the University of New South Wales are being presented at Wollongong University College in 1964. The second year of these courses will be introduced in 1965. Lecturer, £A1936 range £A2636 per annum. These salaries are under review. Commencing salary will be according to qualifications and experience. Applicants must hold an appropriate honours degree or have equivalent qualifications and have had experience in the use of digital and analogue computers. For appointment as Senior Lecturer a higher degree is essential. The successful applicant will supervise research students, lecture in the master of technology course and carry out research. Fields of interest of the School are reactor theory, reactor dynamics, materials technology, heat and fluid flow, thermal stress, systems analy--sis and analogue and digital computing.
