Mission's New Ship
The Melanesian Mission’s new ship, the Selwyn, has been launched from the Ballina ship construction works in New South Wales. The ship, named after Bishop Selwyn, will be used in the New Hebrides (the mission's southern archdeaconry) predominantly for cargo work. The general secretary of the mission (the Rev. H. W. Bullen, of Auckland) visited Australia to attend the launching ceremony.
