Truck Goes Into River
(N.Z. Press Association) OPOTIKI, October 1. A refrigerated freight line’s truck plunged Into the river 33 miles from Opotikl in the Waioeka Gorge about 6.15 p.m. yesterday. The driver, Quentin Donald, of Buckland's Beach, Auckland, escaped serious injury and was admitted to Opotiki Hospital. The truck, which was loaded with frozen foods from Gisborne for Opotiki, was extensively damaged. The cab was smashed to pieces.
