Faced Eight Charges f.V.Z. Press A«soctotion> AUCKLAND. Oct. 1. “You introduced a decent young girl to crime.” Mr R. M. Grant, S.M n told Colin Bernard Kneller. aged 24. driver, today when sentencing him to two years’ imprisonment. He made a recommendatian that Kneller be deported. Kneller. who was extradited from Australia with Margaret Ann Fisk, aged 18. was appearing for sentence on a joint charge of the theft of £573 from Frank M. Winstone. Ltd., six charges of false pretences, and one of obtainining credit by fraud. He had previously pleaded guilty to all charges. Fisk, who was dealt with last week, was placed on probation for two years. For Kneller, Mr J. Aubin said the imaginative ways the crimes had been carried out were more often seen on television. rather than in reallife, The offences were all too similar to crimes committed by Kneller in Britain, he said.
