New Autogyro Project

(N.Z P.A.-Reuter) PRETORIA The Council for Scientific and Industrial Research is planning a simple two-seater autogyro believed to be a world first for South Africa. The council thinks that it will be able to take off with a full load in 150 feet, fly at 20 miles an hour without stalling and land at 10 miles an hour or less. At the present rate of development, the aerodynamics division of the council expects to have a prototype ready for flight in about two years.
