PETROL LICENSING POST
(N Z, Press Association) WELLINGTON, Oct 1. Mr F. S. Taylor, of Christchurch, has been appointed a member of the Motor Spirits Licensing Authority. He replaces Mr J. L. Hazlett, who is High Commissioner for New Zealand in Australia. Announcing the appointment today, the Minister of Industries and Commerce (Mr Marshall) said Mr Taylor was a fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Management and had had wide business experience. He is chairman of directors of Quill Morris. Cowles, Ltd., a director of the Bank of New Zealand and also of the Trustees, Executors and Agency Company of New Zealand. In 1962 Mr Taylor retired as managing-director of T. J.| Edmonds, Ltd., Christchurch. I after 42 years’ service with | the company.
He was also on the council of the Canterbury Manufacturers’ Association for 15 years.
