Firmer Trend Shown In Share Trading
Share trading on New Zealand stock exchanges yesterday followed a firmer trend, with rises ahead of falls in both the New Zealand and overseas lists. Key stocks were also firmer. Mason Struthers was a feature among local issues with a 4d rise to 5s in first sales since the higher dividend announcement. Wilson Cement rose 9d to 30s 3d and the B shares 6d to 30s. K.D.V. sold 2s 6d up at 23s 6d ex dividend. Recoveries by C.S.R., up Is 3d at 65s 3d in tune with the stronger Australian market, and Mount Isa, up Is to 36s 6d, strengthened the overseas section.
