WELLINGTON, October 1. The Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) today declined to comment when he was asked if New Zealand would support any British plan to strike at Indonesian bases if Indonesia landed more guerrillas in Malaysia,

“It is a much too complicated issue for me to make a categorical statement,” he said. “It would be quite unhelpful for me to speculate or set the matter out in detail.” Mr Holyoake reiterated that the Governments of New Zealand, Australia, Britain and Malaysia were in daily contact on the situation. “We have been working in concert and will continue to work in concert,” he said.
