Hockey Team Wins, 4-3 5
/Special Crrpdt. N.Z.P.A.) TOKYO, October 1. The New Zealand hockey team achieved encouraging thrust in the forward line In beating Germany, 4-3, In a practise game today. The players came through the game considerably heartened by their showing and without any injuries. Their policy was to play as many practise games as possible and then ease off towards the end of next week, said the hockey manager. Mr R. A.’ Milne. Tomorrow the team will have two games, against Germany again and against a Jananese University team. P Bygraves, the captain, playing at inside-left, scored two of the goals, and the others went to P. Byers and B. Judge.
