TV CIRCUIT BUILT IN
New Church Building (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Sept. 29. A closed-circuit television system will take services at the new St. Mark’s Anglican Church out into the parish hall and the clubroom under the hall. The system will be used for overflow congregations, and also to show Sunday School pupils what is going on in church. St. Mark’s; which is to open on November 28, will be the first church in New Zealand with closed-circuit television. The church will also be equipped for televising broadcast services with a periscope in the warden’s vestry. so that technicians can watch church proceedings. The television sets at the church will also be used for watching normal television programmes.
