AIR ROUTE TALKS

Delegation To Malaysia (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Sept. 30. Three of New Zealand’s top aviation officials will leave Wellington on Sunday for talks in Kuala Lumpur with the Malaysian Minister of Transport. They are Mr B. R. Rae, Secretary of the Civil Aviation Department, Mr D. F. Toms, controller of air services and external relations of the Civil Aviation Department, and Mr F. A. Reeves, general manager of T.E.A.L. “We intend to consult with Malaysian authorities on the possibility of working out an air services agreement,” said Mr Toms today. “The whole thing is very hopeful, as we are aware that there is a great fund of goodwill on both sides.” Mr Toms said it was expected the New Zealand party would spend a week in Kuala Lumpur. Talks would open inext Wednesday.
