Unemployment Decreases
The number of unemployed men in Christchurch dropped 50 per cent in the last month, said the district superintendent of the Labour Department (Mr C. P. Collins) yesterday. Unemployed men in Christchurch yesterday totalled 40, of whom 37 were receiving unemployment benefit. Ten out of the 17 unemployed women were also receiving the benefit.
