PUBLIC NOTICES WAIMAIRI COUNTY COUNCIL NOTICE OF PROPOSED APPLICATION FOR SANCTION OF LOAN NOTICE Is hereby given that the Waimairi County Council proposes at its meeting to be held on the 15th day of October. 1964, to consider a motion to apply to the Local Authorities Loans Board for its sanction to the borrowing of the sum of £51,500 for the purpose of extending the Council's high pressure water supply system to Belfast and in the Harewood area and increasing the pumping capacity of existing pumping stations. The security for the loan shall be a special rate of .0182554 (pence) in the £ (pound) on the capital value of rateable property within the following area of the County:— The whole of the Middleton Riding of the County, along Yaidhurst road to Russley road, thence north along Russley road to Wairakei road, thence east along Wairakei road to Stanleys road, thence north along Stanleys road to Harewood road, thence east along Harewood road at a distance of 24 chains north of Harewood road to a point 2} chains west of Crofton street, thence north from this point at a distance of 2i chains west of Crofton street to a point 2J chains north of Sawyers Arms road, thence east from this point at a distance of 2i chains north of Sawyers Arms road to Highsted road, thence north along Highsted road to Claridges road, thence east along Claridges road to Grampian road thence north along Gramnian road to Cavendish road, thence north along Cavendish road to Styx Mill road, thence continuing in a northerly direction along a line in prolongation with Cavendish road to a point 2i chains north of Johns road. Continuing from this point in a northeasterly direction to the western end of Darroch street. Thence in a northerly direction to a point on the south branch of the Waimakariri River 2 V chains north of Dickeys road. Thence in an easterly direction along Dickeys road to a point 2 J chains east of the intersection of Dickeys road and the Main North road. From this point in a south-easterly direction to the intersection of Factory and Guthries roads, thence south along Guthries road to Belfast-road, thence west along Belfast road to Blakes road, thence south along Blakes road to Radcliffe road. From this point continuing in a southerly direction to a point- 24 chains east of the intersection to Farquhars and Grimseys roads, and continuing in a southerly direction 2} chains east of Grimseys road to a point 24 chains south of Winters road, thence in a westerly direction at a distance of 2J chains south of Winters road to the boundary of Christchurch City, thence in a northerly direction along the City boundary, following this boundary and the boundary of the Borough of Riccarton to the point of commencement. It is not proposed to levy or collect the special rate, but to meet the annual charges on the loan from the revenues of the Water Supply Account. Any person having any objection to the proposed application is called upon to submit the same in writing to the Waimairi County Council not later than the day preceding the said meeting.
