The hospital is situated at Gore, a thriving centre of a predominantly pastoral area forty miles from Invercargill. one hundred miles from Dunedin and within easy reach of the Lakes District. Available beds total ninety General and twenty-three Maternity. The buildings are mainly of recent origin with modern facilities and well equipped theatres.
