EXAMPLE OF PAST
Need Seen In Modern Life The society of today needed an injection of more and more lives directed by unchanging values, the Rev. A. K. Fetch, of St. Pauls church, Hamilton, said at a service held at Durham Street Methodist Church in connexion with the church’s centennial celebrations. Mr Fetch said part of the problems of teen-agers and much of the juvenile delinquency of the present time was a reaction against much of the hypocricy of adult society, which was weak and anaemic when it came to upholding moral standards. In these days of machines, technology and speed the tendecy was to strip people of personality and there was a heed to foster personal things and values. People in earlier days had derives satisfaction from simple things and it was necessary for men today to learn from their fathers the importance of quiet and reflection close to nature, discipline. creative interests and hobbies, and private and public worship.
